This was the first time I’ve received an astrology reading with anyone, I typically like to explore through the topic and own natal chart myself. Before the session I had no idea what folk magic looked like or entailed. I have been interested in magic for a long time and wanting to develop a relationship with my own practice. This session showed me what it's like to use rituals and spells, and also to honor messages I receive. It gave me a greater awareness of spirits and guides around me. I'd never done a burning ritual with specific herbs to honor spirits, and committing to a 7 day practice was pretty monumental for me. I ended up feeling more connected to myself, my home, the land, and the surrounding spirits. It was profound and I opened up to a lot of gratitude within those connections. I'm beginning to feel more comfortable diving into owning being a witch- something I've wanted to be since childhood but because of a million reasons, didn't feel I ever could be.
I also felt very proud of all the work I put in for all the other rituals; journaling, the candle spell, making my bath and taking baths 3 days in a row (I really don't like baths but I wanted to go all in!) so that was big for me. Just doing all of these things with so much intention was so powerful for me. After I completed everything, a big triggering moment around money came up (which is what I was working on in the spells). I ended up having a huge emotional release and realizing connections between the triggering money stuff in the present and past relationship and money traumas. I was also able to acknowledge and accept that certain aspects around money are triggering to me, therefore taking the charge and the "big deal" out of them. I've had other money things come up since then that typically would've sent me into a spiral, but I was able to acknowledge them and determine what I needed to do to move forward, without going into a trauma response. This is huge! Thank you!
